What is an Advocate?

Think of a patient advocate as your “GPS’ in today’s complex healthcare system.

  • Seniors, elders and patients often have to communicate with multiple petitioners
  • They often have to fight insurance claims and denials
  • Sometimes they are not getting the proper care in Hospitals, Nursing Homes or in their own Home

An advocate acts as THE POINT PERSON OR “GPS” for navigating and coordinating your care or helping monitor that care.

Just as a GPS often can do – we  can save you valuable time and with that--money.

Senior Assistance Advocacy – an expert for hire when seniors and their caregivers don’t know where to find answers.

 Dan's Story

Dan is an 87 year old male who was in a nursing home after fracturing his arm. His daughter called Senior Assistance for help. Dan was in the facility for one month and getting therapy for his fracture.  He was told he would be denied Medicare payment  for skilled nursing care.  That meant that the family would have to take Dan home or pay privately at the rate of $300.00 a day.

Senior Assistance asked the right questions, and Dan was able to stay in the facility and complete his therapy while Medicare continued to pay for his skilled nursing care.

Dan and his family saved more than $6,000.00 because Senior Assistance navigated his care.
